Beliefs Patrick Henry         THE Memo  THE Statement
Who we are:

Since the fall 2008 campaign season five freedom-loving, patriotic Americans continually heard from friends and associates that we have got to DO something about the seeming unending expansion of government in our lives that is sure to accelerate with the tri-fecta of Democrat control within the federal government. We each recognize that so much more has to be done than just e-mailing one another with one more news item illuminating the government’s relentless march against freedom, private property, and the bedrock ideals on which our constitutional republic was founded.

Our founding team comes from the fields of law, media, finance and technology. We are not professional political operatives, but we have been steeped in politics, history, and economics for some 30 years or more. We vote, press the case with national public officials, volunteer and contribute to campaigns, spread the word and fight the good fight like so many of you. We are stepping forward in the names of all of us who know that the time has come for the intensity of the effort to be significantly increased.

Right Principles is a gathering place, a communication and organizing platform so those for whom our core beliefs (see Core Beliefs) ring true, can channel their intellectual effort, political action, and financial support to the task of expanding individual freedom and responsibility, saving our capitalist economy, defending our national sovereignty, supporting our military, defending traditional values, and rolling back the influence of government in our society.

We have filed a political action committee (PAC) with the Federal Election Commission, and we urge everyone that wants to stand up and be counted to make a contribution (see Contribute). Contributions will only go toward the candidate campaigns and issue advocacy campaigns that you deem appropriate – the options will be put before the Right Principles PAC contributors for a vote and you will decide. You, as contributors will determine the direction of Right Principles. The founding team is covering all administrative costs of Right Principles – no contributions to the PAC will go toward administration.

The website with outbound e-mail is the platform to alert people to important upcoming legislation and lead the charge with e-mails, faxes and contact info for the appropriate Congressional leaders so we can be heard loud and clear, and affect upcoming votes at the crucial moments.

We are arranging gatherings and fundraisers to meet each other, network, listen to guest speakers and sign up to get involved in a local campaign if you choose. One goal is to build leverage with the candidates to whom we offer our support, i.e. offer a contribution plus Right Principles volunteers ready to man phones, canvass or whatever it takes. We seek to critically impact their elections and maintain the influence necessary to press for follow up.

We encourage Right Principles participants to alert us to instances of outrageous pending local or federal legislation. When warranted by the issues we will organize spot demonstrations in front of the offices of Schumer, Lautenberg, or Dodd for example. Our goal is to organize and facilitate opportunities so that we all can participate to the degree we desire.

The goal of Right Principles is to stand up for our core beliefs and significantly influence both the electoral and legislative process. In our unity and numbers there will be strength and leverage, and we will have the impact which we all desire.
