I am a firm believer in our founding fathers’ concept of a “citizen legislature”, whereby a representative of the community does their service and represents the community in the state capital or Washington D.C., and then returns to the community.  I’ve always urged and admonished my friends and colleagues to never fail to vote in every election…. and preferably for the non-incumbent.  I’ve been a consistent and usually vociferous opponent of leftist thinking in America and been a supporter of the Libertarian party and its candidates since the mid ‘70s.  Over those years American politics and the media covering it has become such an Orwellian stew of newspeak, misrepresentation, deceit, subterfuge, and dishonest reporting that I wonder if our constitutional republic will be able to withstand it much longer

I have had a strong hand in drafting our Core Beliefs, which are grounded in our founding fathers’ considered reasoning and the best of American traditions.  Those principles are undisputedly under attack today.  For me personally I could wait no longer to expand the good fight - both getting the word out to my fellow citizens and strenuously pressing our case with elected officials.  After the 2008 election cycle, solid Americans everywhere knew something was very wrong with the electoral process.  I look forward to spreading the word, getting as many solid citizens as possible to stand up and be counted, and vigorously taking our case to entrenched power before it is too late to turn the tide

Along with my associates, I have come to the conclusion that I needed to make a serious decision regarding the situation we now find our country in.  Like many of you I am very concerned with the direction the country has taken in the last 18 months.  Like many of you I share the frustration of not having a voice in the national dialogue and seeing long-held beliefs about this country regarding the need for a strong military, a free Capitalist economy and traditional value system come under attack.

With the recent election we have moved far from the Republic our Founding Fathers created and dangerously close to that of European Socialism.

I decided I should do something to get have my concerns addressed since, like yours, they are all too easily ignored by the politicians who continually lie to us, steal our money and betray our national security interests.

I hope that you can come to a decision as well.  A decision to commit time, effort and, yes, aid in raising funds to have your voice heard.

We at Right Principles are committed to doing just that.

Make the decision to act with us and find your voice.

I was born and raised in northwestern Germany close to the Dutch border in a small historic town nestled in the Tecklenburger Land. In 1991 I had the great privilege of visiting the United States for the first time and fell in love. I will remain forever thankful to my host family from back then for their southern hospitality. The Marine Corps felt that I was qualified to join her ranks a short while later. My USMC career lasted from 1/25/1993 to 12/4/2000 and I will never forget the many people I met and friends I've made. It was an honor to serve with the finest that America has to offer for eight years. The 3rd FSSG was my home from May 1995 to May 1996 while stationed at Camp Kinser on Okinawa, Japan. You can imagine that it was a bit of a culture shock to live in the far east for a while.

When the year in Japan passed, the Commandant of the Marine Corps sent me to Parris Island, SC. The southern low-country remains my favorite area in the country to this day. If you've never experienced Savannah, GA, go. It's quintessential southern. After leaving the Marines, I headed to Atlanta and remained there to start a "civilian" career.

2004 brought the opportunity to see the metropolitan New York area.

I have always been somewhat politically aware and have become concerned in recent years. The continued erosion of the principles our founders worked tirelessly to establish is worrisome. America, to me, has always served as the shining city on a hill as quoted by Ronald Reagan. We are an advanced and sophisticated society that entrusts individuals with vast freedoms and liberties. It is up to each of us to protect them.

I am disgusted when I see people who clearly don't have America's best interest at heart wearing flag pins, pose in combat zones or surround themselves with Old Glory to claim Patriotism. Patriotism is much more than any of those. Patriotism is the realization that America is a place different than any other. It is the personal identification with values and principles for which many men and women have bled and died.

Tom's Opinions
Tony (Send a note: tony@rightprinciples.com)

My career as a project manager in both the computer and media industries has led me to believe that, with the right organization, important goals can be accomplished no matter how difficult the circumstances ranged against them may appear.

It is for this reason that I have come together with my associates to try to organize a movement that will give voice to those average citizens who have been ignored by the so-called “elites” and to bring satisfaction to those frustrated with a government that is increasingly deaf – and even contemptuous – to their most important concerns.

As a person with degrees in both History and Political Science I am aware that it is easy to speak about “doing something” but very difficult to actually make it happen.

But the only way to having even a chance of making a difference is to have a voice in the National Dialogue… and the only way to have a voice in the National Dialogue is to give people in the media and in office a reason to listen to you.

The principles we have laid out in our Core Beliefs are the principles of our Founders; our goal is the restoration of these principles, which have been trampled on by those who want to rule rather than govern us.  While I have been a supporter of the Libertarian movement and have voted for third party candidates in most of the elections I have taken part in, I have also worked inside the system to try to get candidates on the ballot who I felt represented the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, low taxes, traditional Judeo-Christian values and the absolute necessity of a strong military.

Today, all these principles are under an extremely powerful attack by the advocates of Big Government, proliferate spending, high taxes, secular values and the oxymoronic appeasement of our enemies through an absurd, European Socialist concept called “Soft Power.”

If you care about your finances, join us.
If you care about your family, join us.
If you care about your religion, join us.
If you care about our national security and the brave soldiers that defend it, join us.

The time for complaining is over; the time for recriminations is past.  It is time to turn off the TV and get off your couch.  It is time to extricate yourself from the poisonous virtual reality presented by corrupt politicians and media propagandists and return to the real world of responsibility and accountability and action.

The time to organize, speak out, put pressure on those who purport to represent us to actually do so and to fight back is
now.

Join us, and together we will have our voices heard.
